In it's riverside setting, Ingleton's open-air 20m heated (to around 80F) swimming pool is an idyllic place to swim. The pool is managed by the local community. It was dug out and built by local volunteers in 1933 and the workers included miners from the New Ingleton Colliery, which closed in 1936.
Open for around three months during the summer season from the end of May until early September, the pool has recently been improved and modernised and is a popular attraction with both locals and visitors.
There are various swim sessions open to the general public on a daily basis daily, plus additional senior member only sessions. During the school holidays there is also organised swimming lessons.
Please look at the calendar on the opening times page for a more detailed breakdown of opening times and activities.
The pool is also available for private hire outside of general public sessions.
A variety of refreshments for both swimmers and spectators alike are available from our kiosk. When you visit, why not try from our range of hot and cold beverages, snacks, confectionery or ices.
